The cushion-shaped Gondolo case appears in white gold, rose gold and two-tone designs. Three references keep the diamonds to the dial flange, with 108 stones. The Joaillerie versions extend the setting across the dial, flange, case and buckle, with 687 brilliant-cut diamonds in total.

Inside is Patek Philippe’s E15 quartz calibre, a surprise from a manufacture so tied to mechanical watchmaking. The case is just 8.03mm thick, keeping the emphasis on proportion, colour, and gem setting.

The Ladies First name also has history. Patek Philippe first used it in 2009 for Reference 7071, the watch chosen to debut the CH 29-535 PS, its first chronograph movement developed and produced entirely in-house.

Seen in the collection in Milan, the Joaillerie versions stood out. Diamonds run in concentric circles across the dial and flange, creating an amphitheatre-like depth, while the trapeze-cut hour markers come in blue topaz, tsavorite or amethyst, each matched to a peacock blue, bright green or purple alligator strap. The standard references are quieter, with grey-blue and chestnut dials in a concentric wave relief, on denim-textured calfskin straps with contrast stitching.

At WATCH ART, the collection sits alongside historic pieces and Rare Handcrafts, with colour, proportion and diamonds giving it its presence.
